Seals\, Donnie Seals Jr.\, and Resita Cox\, followed by conversations from RCR and community members. \nKnowing his dad miraculously recovered from three open-heart surgeries after discovering a passion for cycling\, filmmaker Eric D. Seals proposes an ambitious idea: Bike together from St. Louis to Chicago. 350 miles. 4 days. On their journey\, the two push each other as they find a deeper connection and a renewed appreciation of their quests for their own health and to reimagine Black health. \nBike Vessel will premiere on PBS on Feb. 24 2025. Bring your warm winter riding gear and a bike that is capable of riding in deep snow along Lincoln Ave. Riders will likely meet around 10:30 or 11:00 AM to line up and organize prior to the parade start. SUMMARY:Fish Creek Falls Bridge Update Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Discussions on preliminary designs for the replacement of the Fish Creek Falls bridge will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday\, Jan. 21\, in the Routt County Community Room at 135 6th Street in Steamboat Springs. \nThe popular footbridge\, located east of Steamboat Springs in the Routt National Forest\, receives heavy visitation year-round and sits at the base of a nearly 300-foot-tall waterfall. Due to structural integrity concerns which have spanned the last couple years\, the Forest Service determined it was time to replace the bridge. \nHosted by Routt National Forest staff\, the public meeting is intended for providing information on the preliminary designs and answering questions. Public feedback on Forest plans for a solution would also be appreciated.
