DESCRIPTION:We know – it’s been a long road for the Mad Rabbit Trails Project. But we’re here to tell you that $1.6 million in funding for local trails is at stake (yes\, again) if we don’t SHOW UP later this month when City Council will formally vote to allocate those funds. Please mark your calendars for this upcoming City Council meeting. We are asking that our members and supporters show up in person (or virtually\, via Zoom) in order to see that $1.6 million of intended funding is successfully allocated by YOUR elected officials. At this point in the game\, this is the most valuable contribution you can make to the success of this project – showing up at City Council on 6/17. The meeting starts at 5:00 PM in the Citizens’ Meeting Room in Centennial Hall (124 10th St).\n\nWe will ask that our members and supporters send positive public comments in advance if they are absolutely unable to attend.

DESCRIPTION:It’s the most wonderful time of the year – trails are opening on Buff Pass (from wildlife closures) and it’s time to get them ready to ride! \nWe will be using chainsaws\, hand saws\, and loppers to clear trail corridor of downfall after a heavy-snow winter. Meet at Dry Lake on 6/15 at 8:30 AM. \nVolunteers will use hand tools unless they bring their own chainsaw (with required PPE  – chaps and a hard hat). DESCRIPTION:Join RCR and Ride Workshop for a Monthly Gravel Ride! \nLooking for a fun\, low-key gravel ride with great company? We’re kicking off a new monthly group ride\, designed to be mellow\, social\, and on low-traffic\, scenic routes. \n🚴 June 9th\, 5:00-7:00pm – Emerald Loop\nThis will be a relaxed\, no-drop ride with a focus on enjoying the ride together. Ride leaders from Steamboat Velo and Routt County Riders will help ensure a great experience for all. \n*Shorter ride option – Cow Creek Out and Back \nTo keep things smooth\, we’ll share the route in advance and ask riders to RSVP below so we have a good idea of attendance. Groups will be small with staggered starts\, and we’ll have designated regroup points along the way. All participants will be asked to follow our Rider Responsibility Code to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. \nChoose Your Pace Group:To make the ride fun for everyone\, please choose the group that best matches your comfort and experience level: \n\n🟢 Group C – 5:15 PM – Newer or casual riders. Relaxed pace\, lots of support with shorter distance options.\n🔵 Group B – 5:20 PM – Intermediate riders. Steady pace\, social but with a little push.\n🔴 Group A – 5:30 PM – Advanced riders.
