We’re kicking off a new monthly group ride\, designed to be mellow\, social\, and on low-traffic\, scenic routes. \n🚴 September 15th\, 5:00-7:00pm\nThis will be a relaxed\, no-drop ride with a focus on enjoying the ride together. Ride leaders from Steamboat Velo and Routt County Riders will help ensure a great experience for all. \nTo keep things smooth\, we’ll share the route in advance and ask riders to RSVP below so we have a good idea of attendance. Groups will be small with staggered starts\, and we’ll have designated regroup points along the way. All participants will be asked to follow our Rider Responsibility Code to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. \nChoose Your Pace Group:To make the ride fun for everyone\, please choose the group that best matches your comfort and experience level: \n\n🟢 Group C – Newer or casual riders. Relaxed pace\, lots of support with shorter distance options.\n🔵 Group B – Intermediate riders. Steady pace\, social but with a little push.\n🔴 Group A – Advanced riders. SUMMARY:National Public Lands Day: Bruce's Trail Volunteer Work Day
DESCRIPTION:We are celebrating National Public Lands Day with a volunteer dig day on Routt County’s newest and most exciting trail system. This will be the first volunteer opportunity in the long-awaited Rabbit Ears trail system. We will begin the green flow trail off of the existing Bruce’s Nordic Trail by digging with hand tools to establish the bench of the new trail. Come work hard so you can ride harder. \nAll volunteers will be treated to snacks and a lunch courtesy of Yampa Sandwich Company. DESCRIPTION:Grab your sneakers\, hop on your bike\, and join the fun—Walk & Roll to School Day is back on Wednesday\, October 8\, 2025. This annual event puts the spotlight on safe routes to school while reminding kids (and families) that walking and biking are not only healthy\, but wheely fun! \nFun swag and giveaway items will be provided to students demonstrating safe walking/riding practices. In addition\, tasty treats and goodies will ensure participants are fueled up for their journey. \nWalk to School Day events raise awareness of the need to create safer routes for walking and bicycling and emphasize the importance of issues such as increasing physical activity among children\, pedestrian safety\, traffic congestion and concern for the environment. These events build connections between families\, schools\, and the broader community. \n
