Kelly Northcutt is a born and raised Steamboat Springs native who, after a decade of adventures in the Pacific Northwest, felt the valley calling her back home. She earned a Master’s Degree at Portland State University in Environmental Management with a concentration on development of off-road cycling facilities. She has coached mountain biking for youth ages 6-12, worked for a mountain bike tour company in Bend, Oregon, and spent hundreds of hours volunteering for trails. She practices a balance between conservation and recreation and believes all recreationists have a responsibility to be advocates and stewards of the natural world.

Kyle Pietras, President
Kyle is too busy showing people the time of their lives and slaying deep powder with Steamboat Powdercats in the winter to think about summer yet… but we promise he crushes the trails just as hard as he does the snow. Bio to come!
Holly Weik, Vice President
Holly grew up in Divide, attended the US Air Force Academy and was able to spend almost half of her career in Colorado. She loves the outdoors and came to Steamboat for the great recreation and sports available year round. She can be seen biking most of the year to work or for fun. Mountain or road? Yes please to both, including self supported touring and around-town commutes. She is involved in RCR because she wants to be part of where she lives and contribute to the wonderful lifestyle we get to enjoy here in Steamboat.
Matt Roberts, Secretary
Matt Roberts discovered his passion for mountain biking while living in Jackson Hole in 1993. After a summer in Jackson he moved back to his home state of North Carolina where he enjoyed riding in the mountains near Asheville. Matt moved to Steamboat Springs in 2012 and became involved with RCR while the community was debating whether or not to use tax dollars to build a world-class trail infrastructure. Matt is a graduate of Appalachian State University and currently works for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp.
Michelle Freckleton, Treasurer
Michelle is a 20-year Steamboat local and mother of three who loves to mountain bike, road bike, snow board and do yoga. During the summers she coaches middle school mountain biking with SSWSC. In the fall she helps coach coed High School mountain biking with the Colorado High School Mountain Cycling League. With all of the new trails being built she thought is was a great time to volunteer her time with RCR. She joined the Routt County Riders Board to help advocate for all types of cyclists in Routt County.
Jessica has been enjoying mountain biking in the Yampa Valley since 1995. She is the owner and creative director of j.milo creative, a graphic and textile design company. When she is not creating she is on the dirt or on the snow. Although she enjoys all types of biking her favorite is bikepacking with family, friends or solo, and occasionally racing. These days she is busy trying to instill her passion for mountain biking in her somewhat reluctant 8 year old daughter.
Rob has lived and biked in Steamboat Springs for over 20 years now and wouldn’t trade it for anything. He grew up on the east coast and then west coast before finding the Boat. To him, nothing beats being a part of small town community. Rob is proud to be an RCR board member and works hard to increase the stoke of cycling in Routt County. His other interests include long walks on the beach, kicking his feet in the water off the dock, and snuggling by the fire with that special someone. Oh and snowboarding of course, who doesn’t love snow too.
Originally from Cleveland Ohio, Chris moved out to Steamboat in 2000 to attend CMC’s Wilderness Studies program. In 2006 he started Soda Mountain Construction and has now been in business for the last 12 years. He and his wife Mara have three children ages 4, 7, and 10. Chris loves living in the mountains and enjoys all the recreational activities they offer. Mountain biking and snowboarding in the backcountry are critical to his existence and wellbeing. He is dedicated to seeing the mountain biking in our community develop over the next decade. His goals with RCR are to help develop newer trail networks as well as initiate and coordinate new mountain biking races. Chris is a firm believer that mountain biking makes your life better. If you see him out and about, flag him down and join his ride.
An east coast transplant, Ryan succumbed to the Yampa Valley curse with open arms. When not running various operations for a local custom home builder, he can be found riding bikes and boards in the surrounding mountains and helping to spread the stoke. Ryan is a recent addition to the RCR board and hopes to push and promote progressive trails as our sport surges forward
