OUR MISSION

Routt County Riders advocates to implement positive change for all types of cyclists in Northwest Colorado.

We accomplish our mission through community outreach activities like social rides, safety initiatives, trail maintenance and coordinated volunteer days. We engage civically and advocate for trail diversity and road infrastructure improvements throughout the Yampa Valley and beyond.

An IMBA Chapter

Trailing building, for me, is the perfect combination of giving to the community I love, contributing to the sport I love and spending time in the outdoors. I always get a big smile when I ride a section of trail I helped build. I also enjoy riding remote dirt county roads like 52 or 52E. They always seem to take you to places you have never seen or would probably never soak in from a car.

BOB FORSTER, RCR Member + 2020 Volunteer of the Year

Especially in a year like 2020, I am extra appreciative of the support RCR is helping to provide us with volunteer days and ambassadors – those programs are so incredible, and it’s exciting to think how much more that could grow! I’m so excited to be able to team up with RCR on meaningful projects and I see a lot of great things for the future.

JENNY CAREY, City of Steamboat Open Space and Trails Supervisor

Got dirty volunteering with RCR on National Public Lands Day. Super grateful for all the trails they build and maintain…that I have so much fun riding! And hiking! And super grateful for all the volunteers that show up to share in the work!
